Meet Tina. Owner of Fall Meadow Photography and Design, and amazing family and children’s photographer turned jailer Saturday at Dash to the Altar Charity 5k. Do you want to throw your friend in jail? Just a minimum $5 donation (goes to Safe Haven) gets them in the slammer! Their bail has to meet your donation….. make it high and eat all their cake while they sit in jail! If that all sounds like too much drama just donate $5 to the cause and have your mug shot taken. Tara’s House of Cakes – WEDDING CAKE!

I will try not to go on and on about wedding cake. I’m pretty sure it’s one of the main reasons I’m a wedding photographer. There are few things in life better than eating wedding cake! Ok..I’m done.. promise… CAKE!!! Tara’s House of Cakes will be a vendor at Dash this Saturday and YES SHE IS BRINGING WEDDING CAKE! I recommend Tara to all of my brides. Her cakes are as delicious as they are beautiful and I love her artistry. Check out a few of her creations, and for sure go by and see her on Saturday.

You are having a wedding so you get to be married. After all of the crazyiness of the planning is over you come home from your honeymoon with a spouse. (kinda weird!) I can’t think of anything better to add to your preparations than relationship counseling. It’s the best investment you could make in your marraige before you are even married! Family Connections Counseling offers all types of services and is an awesome addition to our vendor team at Dash. I especially love having them there because the Charity 5k supports Safe Haven which is working to end domestic violence. These lovely ladies were fabulous to photograph at their promo shoot! Check out DFW Med Laser ! They offer state of the art hair removal and skin rejuvenation AND they will be another fabulous vendor at Dash on Saturday. I had so much fun with Stacey (the owner) at her promo shoot IN THE RAIN last week. She has a beautiful soul that shines through to the outside. Be sure to stop and see her at the “reception” after the race!

Mobile Spa and Massage is a brand new business with an awesome concept!! They bring the relaxation right to Y.O.U. Jay is a licensed massage therapist and I can personally say he rocks! I can say that because he’s my brother AND he comes to my rescue after I carry around 20 pounds of camera equipment for 10 hours at a wedding. (What’s that they say… It pays to know someone?) I really love the idea of my brides and their bridesmaids getting chair massages before they get ready. Relaxed bride = awesome pictures = good for Rhonda! Jay will be at Dash on Saturday giving massages after the race!! I’d run fast and get in line early…

I just like this one. (Ladies I don’t know if he is single or not right now… I’ll check!)

Tan 2 Glow – Sunless Tanning

Tan 2 Glow is a match made in heaven for this glow in the dark read head! I watched them with my own eyes turn a model even more white than me into a golden goddess at our promo shoot. I can’t even begin to tell you how impressed I am with the owners, their company, and the services they offer. No need to worry about skin caner OR being orange…. They got you covered! Aside from being fabulous they also have a heart for charity, come and see them this Saturday at Dash to the Altar Charity 5k.

Beginner to 5k – LAST WEEK TO TRAIN

Hey Y’all! This is THE BIG WEEK! You should be ready for that race on Saturday! Good luck to everyone and we look forward to seeing you this weekend!

Monday

30 minute run at an easy pace OR 2 x 15 minute runs with a 5 minute walk in between

Tuesday

2 mile run + 2 mile fast walk

Wednesday

Back to hill training! Today, do 8 hill or stadium runs. If you are running on a hill, run approximately 50 yards at a 50% grade up hill. If you are feeling strong today, find a steeper hill. If you are using a stadium, sprint to the top. Always jog or walk down.

5 minute jog or walk cool down.

Thursday

30 minute run at an easy pace OR 2 x 15 minute runs with a 5 minute walk in between

Friday

Fartlek Run (must have stopwatch)

You will be running then jogging to build endurance. Last week we added the 4 minute run, just push yourselves to run your best today!

1-2-3-4-3-2-1 (always 1 minute jogging or walking in between)

Race pace for 1 minute, 1 minute of jogging or walking

Race pace for 2 minutes, 1 minute of jogging or walking

Race pace for 3 minutes, 1 minute of jogging or walking

Race pace for 4 minutes, 1 minute of jogging or walking

Race pace for 3 minutes, 1 minute of jogging or walking

Race pace for 2 minutes, 1 minute of jogging or walking

Race pace for 1 minute, 1 minute of jogging or walking

Saturday

Video One Productions – Superstar Videographer

David Thomas over at Video One Productions knows his business and delivers big time for his clients. I am very grateful he will be donating his time and talent next Saturday at Dash to the Altar Charity 5k! The promo shoot with his wife was awesome. They have been married for 21 years (in a row he says!) and couldn’t be any cuter. I wanted to capture their love story to express that he understands yours. I could have photographed them all day!!

Brides and Beyond – DFW’s Gown Destination

Brides and Beyond has it all!! Not only do they rock some amazing, gorgeous, holy smokes wedding gowns, they also have prom, and pageant dresses that knock your socks off. They are another fabulous Dash to the Altar Charity 5k vendor AND their gowns will be on the girls “racing” during the Good Morning Texas segment tomorrow morning at 9! Don’t take my word for it… check out these images from their promo shoot!
